The Australian Science Fiction Bullsheet: 95

February 2010

ISSN 1445-4319 (print version), ISSN 1445-4327 (online version)

This is NOT the latest Bullsheet!

If you want the latest, go here.

The webmaster is following the fortunes of
Jessica Watson on http://www.jessicawatson.com.au/the-latest-news and http://youngestround.blogspot.com/.
He is also following the fortunes of
Abigail Sunderland on http://www.abbysunderland.com/ and http://soloround.blogspot.com/.
May the better sailor win.

Note - For those following Abby: she is compelled to put into port at Cabo san Lucas, which is on the far southern end of
the Baja California peninsula, ie well into Mexico. Apparently she does not have nearly enough resources to keep her batteries
charged, and her shore team will make modifications and put aboard more equipment. This necessitates a restart of the
circumnavigation. She appears to be quite confident that this will not affect the voyage as a whole although, given the gap of
just two months between her and Jessica, it could perhaps make her bid to be the youngest solo non-stop circumnavigator a
little harder. This delay alone will probably not affect the result but it gives her less leeway if other things interfere, eg rough
weather or equipment failure on the high seas.

This document was written by Edwina Harvey and rendered into html by Ted Scribner (I also check all web references - Ted).

In the interests of getting the new email Bullsheet up on the website as soon as possible, I'll put the largely untouched email version up first, then gradually add and edit the html.

This version is the third draft. All links checked and (would you believe it?) found to work! - Ted

If you want something changed please write to me, krenon at y7mail.com.

So as not to feed web crawlers with email addresses for spam, I've made all email addresses [name] at [address]. To use them, replace "@" with " at ".

For (I hope) your convenience, all the url links are set so as to open an extra web page, while leaving the Bullsheet page as it is. When you've finished looking at the link, close it, don't try to go back.
